Some R&R with D&D and FF8
Well I hope that everyone didn't get into too much Irish mischief this past week. I got into some fights... well game fights.
I went and stayed with my friend Kesha for a sanity break. Nellie easily talked her way into going along with her Irish heritage and it being St. Patrick's Day weekend. I do believe she enjoyed her time there as much as I did. Nellie rocked the backseat while I played Armin Van Buuren's State of Trance 2017.
As usual it was an enjoyable laid back vacation. There was a lot of good conversations and games. We had two days of playing Final Fantasy 8 (FF8), where we read the dialogue cards in silly voices. There was also one night of Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), which was my first time playing. I had created a character a long while back, but the creation took too long to play then.
A realization that I recognized this weekend. Even though I take off the winter season from my creative sewing projects because of all of the fun holiday celebrations, it is extremely difficult for me to start back up for spring. So beginning this year, I will stop taking off the winter.
This break even got me motivated to actually get in gear with my spring project that I have been struggling with.
I completed the preliminary tracing for my remaining skirt pieces. I even got to fan-out one of the pieces that I just traced.
Well that is it for this week... Until next time...
