Hello, I am Karana, and I am a stand-out, eclectic, creative, exploring daydreamer, who lives near Columbus, Ohio.
I hobby of mine for as long as I can remember was designing clothes. I did some sewing growing up. I had 1 year of 4H and a series of JoAnn's cut-and- sew vests. However, it did not click with me that I could actually make what I have been designing for years until I took Costume Construction for my Theater Major. I can still remember the teacher seeing my "Lilah" design and asked me why she hadn't had me in class before.
Since then I have began actively adding to my knowledge of sewing to physically make the designs in my head.
I began this blog back in 2015 as "Adventures in Attire and Accessories" for accountability purposes and to get myself to do a little something creative each week. Previously I was going through vicious cycle, where I would burn myself out to meet a deadline, take some time off and then repeat. In short I had bad time management skills with my sewing projects. On the whole the blog was a success for what it was created for, so it will continue on.
