Mending Procrastination = Clean-up Fabrics

Hello again,

I have a question: How bad is it that I would much rather clean than work through my mending bag?

The good news is that the cleaning was more of a clean-up from my previous sewing projects.  I focused on my fabrics, a few of them at the very least.  I recorded all I knew about that fabric...

  • Purchase History
  • Known care instructions
  • Width
  • Remaining yardage
This I recorded 2 times.  Once to stay with the fabric itself and another to keep in my swatch book.

Using my pinking shears, I cut 2" strips of each fabric 3 times.  For the bolts of fabric that I still have, I used 2 of the strips to tie around the bolt at the top and the bottom.  The remaining strip is reserved for my swatch book and planners.  This is then pinned to the 2nd note of the Fabric Details and history.

And that is were I left off this past week.  For next time I really do need to work through my mending bag, and who knows I may share whatever festivities I happen across.  So wish me luck with the mending bag.

Until next time...
