Patched in

Hello again,

I am going to keep it on the short side this week.  I'm a little fried from this past week.  So I'm glad for the long weekend.

After last week where I modified my paper pattern for an added 2 inches in the waist, I modified my current muslin.  I patched in the difference using the serger stitch on my machine.  Short of trying on the muslin, I think that did the trick with the strain in the waist area.

I am still having loose diagonal wrinkles on the back.  For the moment, I will at least shorten the back length.  I will then wait and see if I need to do anything else with that or not.

Something else that I have noticed or at least been noticing is the "High-Lo" effect the top of my dress has been having.  So I moved my shoulder pins to the size 16 mark from the size 14 mark to see if that helps.  All muslin photos in this post are with the shoulder pins at the size 16 mark.  Honestly I liked it better at the size 14 mark (previous posts photos), but I'm going to let it marinate a little while longer before I make a decision.

I will see you again next week, and I am open to any ideas or suggestions on how to carry on.
