Short & Sweet recap for a short week
Another week has passed leaving 2 weeks left til the fateful weekend. I am quite curious when my brain will register how little time I have left? Last year I seemed to be on freak-out mode to get my projects done in time for the Renaissance Faire for over a month, but not this year, even with "knowing" how much to do & the little amount of time that I have left.
Anyways, I'm going to be keeping this episode short for the week.
With my Aqua Mist Cloak, I completed the detailing along the edge & attached the hood pieces together. With doing that, I am a lil more aware of the accident with the iron that I had mentioned last week. I don't think that it is noticeable but I would feel better if I patched in some velvet anyways. I am working on this patchwork at work & shouldn't take too long. Afterwards its a matter of attaching the hood to the body, more detailing, then done.
Water Lily is still throwing me curve balls. I got the mock-up completed for the overdress, which fits. I also drafted up a modified bodice that is ready to be cut. I'm just getting concerned or confused about how I to do the bottom edge of the skirt, so if we're FB friends do not be surprised if I toss out a couple of ideas out. I'll tackle the under-shift once the overdress's seams are stitched up & I'm sure of the fit, then use the bodice as a jumping off point. Other than that I am about ready to cut it out & sew.
Again, I have no place to be this weekend so I'm going to attempt to hunker down again & get as much done as possible, where Water Lily's main pieces are cut & stitched up so that its a matter of detailing left, and Aqua Mist's hood is 100% complete with the inner attachment between the hood an body is sewn.
Wish me luck, until next week.
