Week 10 Purple & Lace

As promised last week I am setting aside this particular day for doing my posting to this blog in order to remain consistent.  To quote Kathy from Jazzercise "consistency is key."

Now then, since the last time that we have met I did manage to attach the top & bottom pieces together

Most of it had previously been pinned a while back, however I needed to make sure that the seams & particular folds matched up.  And they did without too much adjustments needed.
I needed to see where the waist would hit, so Nellie even tried it on & struck a pose with the lining between her & the numerous pins still in place

And being on the roll that I was on, I continued with the lace...
You probably noticed that the dress was a lil too low in the front for a girl of the early 1900's & this is why.

So with the shoulder seams pinned & stitched up, I then pinned the lace to the purple & that is as far as I had gotten this past week.
The next step is to pin the lining to this, then stitch it up.  Nellie is getting excited at seeing how much it has taken shape & like me is looking forward to it being completed.

Well that is it for this week, & we will see how far along I get next week.
