Better Late than Never

Hello again,

I apologize for missing last week.  It was not that I did not do anything for my projects but was more an issue of simply being too tired to post.

I am continuing my average of 1 modified adjustment per week.  I am wanting to do more than that, however, I have to remind myself that some progress is better than no progress.

Anyways last week I worked on adjusting the back of the top.  I folded along the add/ subtract line on the back 1", so in essence when redrafting the pattern I will be subtracting 2" from the back.  Once I completed that, I could still see horizontal lines.  This did not surprise me after reading the wrinkle diagnostic of what loose diagonal creases mean.  So I took the side seam by the bust down to a size 16.

So that was last week, this past week I began working on completing the "Full Bust Adjustment" steps.  I marked up the paper copy, then copied the markings on the muslin.  Then I cut the 2 together up from the waist to half-way down the armpit.  Admittedly, I accidentally cut too far on the one side so that it is no longer attached to where it should be but I can manage.  That's where I ended this past week so this upcoming I'll hopefully at least be finished with all of the steps for this adjustment.  After that I should be good enough to make a fresh and clean copy and muslin of my adjustments.  I can't entirely get over the fact that despite my numbers that put me in the size 18 and beyond, I am a modified size 16.  Live and learn, and I am definitely learning.  All of this should hopefully help give me jumping off points for other Colette Pattern projects that are coming up once this one is completed.

Well I'm going to call it quits for now

Until next week...
