Recovering

Hello again,

After a week away I have returned.  I was not here last week because my Grandpa passed away.  I had almost made the Merengue skirt again but in black for the viewing.  However, I didn't because there was no time to make it.  Between that and Easter Sunday,  all that I've managed this past week is trying to recuperate and attempt to get back into the swing of things.  In short I have made no physical progress on my sewing projects.

I have been re-reading the chapter that I am working on.  And I'm psyching myself out, by my typical over-analyzing.  My brain is remembering my failed attempt at the Hawthorne top and trying to assess why it was tight in the chest.  Is it just the width in general? Or is the issue the Bust itself?  It was mentioned in the book that Colette's average bust calculations are for a C Cup, and I'm not a C.  I have to remember that this might be one of those things that I might simply have to jump in and do it.

My goal for next week is to attempt to begin the 1st muslin.  I am hoping to find a place to set up the old tracing board to assist in creating and modifying my custom pattern copies.

I will see you all again next week.
