Merry Christmas to All & a Happy New Year to Come

Hello everyone & Merry Christmas whatever your plans, no matter how laid back or like me this year, quite busy.

Regretfully due to personal energy levels & other things in dire & desperate need of being completed, I did not do anything in regards or connected to my sewing world.  The only exceptions are repairing the tip of my Water Lily Tiara that fell off & discovering that the big Bare Essentials Storybook ensemble box from a recent purchase is the perfect size for storing my tiaras & keeping them safe.

With all of the upcoming events coming up, I have decided that this will be the last post for the 2015 year.  I will take a temporary break from this blog & return by early February at the latest.  As an experiment to get me to sew more & in a smarter manner than past times, it has been a success.  I see no reason to end this.  During this time off I will be contemplating a game plan on what projects I'll tackle next year in 2016.  Recognizing the fact that I do work better when I have a proper deadline, a self-inflicted deadline will be another factor that I will be contemplating while creating an outline of a game plan.  If little ideas of projects for something that happens to pop up I will be open to working on it & not dead set against it because wasn't part of the initial game plan.

Now being the last episode of the Year, I would like to recap the year of creativity that I tackled.

The 1st Project & one of the major ones that I took on was Nellie's Birthday Frills
There was also Colette's Cinnamon Slip, that is on my tweaking list since I accidentally cut off too much when trying to figure out the hem length.
One minor project completed, was handstitching 2 patches for the Steve McQueen's Les Manes jacket that my Dad purchased at Mid Ohio this year.

The last 2 projects that I worked on were major ones for the Renaissance Faire that I attended with my friend Samantha, which were my Maid Marion Aqua Mist Cloak & the Water Lily Dress.  Both are also on my tweaking list after having the yards of fabric getting stitched in the wrong spots as well as time issues & other minute problems.

In total that makes a total of 5 projects for the year, 3 of them were quite the undertaking.  I know that I chose the projects but I'm hoping that the projects for next year won't be as intensive as the major projects I worked on this year.

In addition to sewing these creations, I worked some on reorganizing my supplies & cleaning up remnants from my past creations.

Here's to hoping that next year is just as good if not better than this.  Until Feb, enjoy your Holidays & I wish everyone a wonderful new year.
