Week 04 Outer Sleeves

Well as promised I did start to work on Nellie's outer  sleeves, which right now I'm in a lil bit of an experimental phase.  I'll will be doing 1 sleeve @ a time to see how this will pan out.

 

I have gone ahead & started to pin up the rouching of 1 completely, & prepped the other sleeve if the 1st turns out alright.

As you can see the rouching is centered around the white ribbon, which when the sleeve is fully constructed has to be able to to go over Nellie's hand.  But part of me doesn't think that will satisfy my desire for defined poofiness. So the plan is to feed thin elastic underneath the white ribbon sleeve of the sleeve.

I naturally have no definite idea of how this will turn out, which is why I'm only doing 1 sleeve at a time.  This way if I don't like the overall appearance, I will only have to re-do 1 sleeve and not 2.
