Spring Cleaning

Hello again.  I had a decent start to spring cleaning of my crafting supplies.

I managed to consolidate my fabrics into their corresponding zip-lock baggies (I love zip lock bags - its so easy to organize things), then return the fabric to my project dresser, where I keep the bulk of my fabric.

I put most if not all of my mending into a bag.  This way it will be easier to remember to do the mending, because let's face it mending is not fun or creative.

But here is the true miracle.  My Water Lily Renaissance Dress from 2015 had taken up 2 organizing cubes, and now it only takes up one!  Yay!  For those who are curious, the box now contains the pieces for the gauntlets that I never got around to making, and the Overdress, which I'm going to sit on for a bit.  From what I remember as of now, the Overdress needs some adjustments made to it.  I am aware that the longer that I sit on it, it is just a waste of space, but I would like to finish working through the Colette Sewing Handbook & make another Renaissance dress, before I tackle this one again.  I may find some hints & tricks that would improve what I do have.

With Water Lily down to 1 cube, I have now moved my patterns from a storage ottoman to one of the organizing cubes.  The storage ottomans are perfect cat perches.

I have also temporarily consolidated some of my homeless ribbon spools to a doll box.  I do need to go through my ribbon ladder & get rid of the empty spools, but that will be for some other time.

Also during this time, I have re-read everything in the Handbook up through Chapter Six, which deals with finished seams & linings.

That about does it for me for this week.  My current plan is to work on & finish my coworkers pillowcases & then onto my Summer Solstice Project.
