A New Year & a New Game Plan
Well its a new year, and another year for this blog.
For one reason or another, last year was a little bit rough for me. I admit that I wasn't the best with keeping up this place, especially towards the end of the year, but I do keep coming back because this blog works for why I began it. It helps me to reconnect with my creative side a little bit every week.
In reflecting over the past year's projects in order to get a game plan in place for this year, I admit that per usual I bit off more than I can chew. So this year, I will be doing my best to not be as ambitious as the previous years.
My goal for this year is a continuation of last year of working through "Colette's Sewing Handbook." My ideal length of time for each project will be approximately 2 months, which may be revised to 1 per season. I have to wait and see with the projects. At the tail end of last year I purchased the Colette Sewing Planner, hopefully this will assist in keeping me on task with my projects.
As of this moment I have 2 deadline projects for the year. I have my Forever Project, which has been going on for forever, so I have put a deadline on it. This will be when I go see the premier of the upcoming "Beauty & the Beast." The 2nd will be a new Renaissance ensemble, since I must go every year. There will hopefully be more in there, but those are the definates.
I ask that you continue to bear with me as I try to get a new rhythm going. And I promise that I will do my best not to put down the little bit of work that I was able to achieve. When I do feel free to scold me, because I do need to quit doing that.
Well that should do it for now. Below are some pictures that I took over this past holiday season.
